Renowned architect Jonas Risborn, from Andersson Keller , has led a variety of projects throughout his career. Recently, he took his work home - literally - choosing Bjelin's Woodura Planks 3.0 for a personal renovation.
Jonas has used Bjelin flooring in many projects, ranging from small renovations to larger multi-residential developments. When renovating his own home, he turned to Bjelin’s hardened wood flooring. “I was looking for a floor that would work well with our kitchen island, which is the focal point of the house,” Jonas explains.
His interior design style at home is “modern but timeless,” blending contemporary trends with classic furniture, especially Danish design pieces. When asked how the LOSHULT 3.0 XL in Misty White fits this aesthetic, Jonas says: “The floor complements both our new interior and our existing furniture. It feels cohesive.”
As an architect, Jonas emphasises that choosing the right floor is about the overall aesthetic. “I rarely start with the floor,” he says. “Instead, I match it to the interior design, walls and ceilings. It’s an important part of the whole atmosphere.” In his home, Jonas opted for the clean Select grading of LOSHULT. “The look, finish and type of finish are essential to the overall feel.”
Jonas installed the floors himself and appreciated the ease of the process. “The installation was hassle-free,” he says.
“We’re very happy with the floor,” Jonas says, reflecting on the result. “The best thing is the appearance – the pro matt finish gives it a light, untreated look without feeling artificial.” For Jonas, the hardened wood floor in Misty White has brought a “warm and welcoming feeling” to his home, perfectly aligning with his modern yet timeless interior design vision.
